Just assume the answer to every question is compassion. -Fr. Greg Boyle, SJ

I find myself moving pretty quickly through life these days and so I cherished a quiet hour on the couch last night. An empty house is a rare occurrence and so I took full advantage. I read for a while and took some time to journal. I recalled with gratitude the 6 mile bike ride that Brigid and I took on Sunday afternoon at nearby beautiful reservoir. God is good!

This week’s resources reflect both my appreciation for nature and my love of music. I have been listening quite a bit to recently deceased Irish musician Glen Hansard. I recommend the first five minutes of the YouTube link of Glen playing with Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder, along with this touching tribute by U2’s Bono. May Glen rest in peace.

Blessings on your week ahead!

My advice is: Go outside..enjoy nature and the sunshine, and tru to recapture the happiness in yourself and in God. Think of all the beauty that is still left in you and around you and be happy. -Anne Frank

We make no wonder of the rising and the setting of the sun which we see every day; and yet there is nothing in the universe more beautiful or more worthy of wonder. -Gerald of Wales, The History and Topography of Ireland
